Planning Area: Urban Expansion of Baotou
Planning area along Main Street east from a house of steel around the island, west Kundulun River, north of Ulan Road, south at least to the road; Anand Avenue, north along Arden Place, south Baotou Railway Station, National Road and west Chao Lake Road, east to East National Road and the Chao Lake, the planned total area of 13.3 square kilometers.
The project, located in the historic city, aims to respect and expand the existing architecture, history, and urban life, with the goal of increasing vitality and improving the overall quality of the urban environment. To achieve these objectives, we have adopted three innovative urban development approaches that have proven successful in international contexts:
- Urban Acupuncture: Targeted and strategic interventions in specific areas to stimulate overall urban improvement through small, impactful projects.
- Dissolved Parks: Creation of green spaces that seamlessly integrate with the surrounding urban environment, promoting cohesion and enhancing public areas.
- City Vitality Zones: Strategic areas designed to concentrate commercial, cultural, and social activities, fostering a vibrant and dynamic urban atmosphere.
