We are pleased to announce that Gate Architects has won the ’15-Minute City 2021′ international urban design competition. This success represents a significant recognition of our commitment to shaping the cities of the future into more sustainable, inclusive, and livable places for everyone.
Our proposal caught the attention of the jury for its innovative ability to materialize the concept of the ’15-minute city’. We adopted a holistic approach to urban design, prioritizing the creation of integrated communities equipped with all the necessary elements to promote a healthier and socially inclusive lifestyle. From providing regenerative green spaces and recreational areas to essential services such as accessible housing, workplaces, and retail outlets, every aspect of our proposal has been carefully studied to promote a more equitable and sustainable urban environment reachable within 15 minutes by walking, biking, or public transportation.
