A masterclass hosted by Gate Architects exploring the relationship between architecture, psychology, and emotional wellbeing in the built environment.

On March 24, 2026, Gate Architects will host the Architecture Insights Masterclass at its Milan studio, dedicated to exploring the relationship between architecture and mental wellbeing.

The session will focus on how the spaces we inhabit influence not only physical comfort, but also psychological and relational dimensions of everyday life. In this perspective, wellbeing is understood as an integrated condition that goes beyond performance and efficiency, encompassing emotional resilience and quality of experience.

Bringing together different disciplines and perspectives, the masterclass will feature contributions from Francesca Fiore (Psychologist, Psychotherapist, PhD) and Chiara Tonelli (Professor, Roma Tre University), fostering a dialogue between scientific research and architectural practice. The discussion will address key themes such as biophilic design, restorative environments, green infrastructure, and participatory processes, highlighting how these approaches can transform urban spaces into landscapes of care.

The event will open with welcome remarks by Antonella Marzi, Founder of Gate Architects, followed by a structured program including talks, a roundtable discussion, and a final debate, concluding with a networking moment.
