Embracing Nature in Urban Living

Natural lighting, sustainable materials, and biophilia are the three elements on which the design of the common areas of this residential tower in the heart of São Paulo was conceived and developed. The goal was to create spaces that are not only functional and aesthetically pleasing but also environmentally conscious and harmoniously integrated with nature.

Sculptural Indoor Greenery

In the indoor areas, the design incorporates the ficus Lyrata, a native tree that takes on an almost sculptural function. This green element is carefully positioned to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the interiors while also contributing to the indoor air quality and overall sense of well-being for the residents. The ficus Lyrata’s large, lush leaves add a touch of natural elegance and create a soothing environment that contrasts beautifully with the contemporary design elements.

Outdoor Urban Micro-Forest

In the outdoor areas, the vegetation is enveloping, creating the impression of a “native” urban micro-forest. This lush, green landscape is designed to provide a natural sanctuary within the bustling city, offering residents a peaceful retreat. The extensive greenery includes a variety of native plants and trees, carefully selected to thrive in the local climate and support biodiversity. Within this substantial green area, there are open-air “small rooms” that provide intimate spaces for relaxation and socialization, all overlooking the representative element of water. These water features not only enhance the visual appeal but also create a tranquil atmosphere, promoting a sense of calm and connection to nature.

By integrating these elements, the design of the residential tower aims to redefine urban living, making it more sustainable, serene, and closely connected to the natural world.
